There have been lot of talkings about whether there should be reservation in educational institutions ? Most of the opposing groups say that the caste being a criteria of reservation may divide the people , there are many justifications as well . Very true, but how do we ensure the better future / facilities of the childrens who do not get equal oppurtunity. As I know , all the top institutions of our country have some kind of entrance tests which are very difficult. Many guys go to Kota for IIT and other engineering entrance tests preparation, many join big private coaching centers for Medical Tests, MBA entrances … the list goes on. What about those who do not have adequate monetory resources to support those. Just because they didnt go through these preparatory courses and eventually did not score good marks in entrances doesnt mean they are intellectually any lesser. There is a need to groom them as well so that they are not left behind. There could be endless justifications for why there should not be any reservation and how the benefits of everyone could be taken care of. Its true that it would not solve all the problems , but even if it reduces few miseries,is it not justified ? It needs to be seen how well it gets implemented, but even though being a general category , I would support reservation so that my brother/sister, who do not share same resources that I do , atleast gets same opportunity ….
